My name is Dirk Beyer and I was born in 1981 in Bremen, Germany. I still live there today.
I've been interested in design and animation since I can remember and was always drawing and tinkering with my graphics software.
After my graduation from high school I got a trainee position at CRE-ACTIV advertising agency (Bremen) in 2002. I worked in the graphics department for one year. There I learned the basics of design and the practical side of production.
In 2003 I started studying graphics design at Hamburger Technische Kunstschule (HTK) in Hamburg. During my studies I specialized in multimedia design and 3D animation. In 2005 I received a 3rd Place Animago Award for the short film "Das Kollegium schlägt zurück". Later that year I graduated from HTK with a grade of 1.0 (A). For my final exam I co-created another animated short film called "Piraterie - Ein Leitfaden".
From March 2006 until March 2008 I worked as a graphics designer at Brunnée Werbeagentur in Bremen.
Currently I hold a position as designer at Kubikfoto³, Bremen. |
